Your pledge brings hope. United Way agencies helped 322,837 people get on their feet in 2006 by promoting financial stability and independence and by providing adult education, employment services and resettlement assistance.

Days of Caring for employee groups and companies

Volunteer6 Days of Caring is a unique program that gives company employees a chance to see firsthand the difference they make. Their contribution to the United Way and the gift of their time help build our community.

The Days of Caring program is active and available throughout the year. The Volunteer Center works with nearly 200 United Way member agencies to coordinate half-day or whole-day service projects for employee groups of 2, 20 or hundreds!

Your company will benefit as your Days of Caring project promotes team-building within the company and helps improve employee morale, positions your company as an active and positive corporate citizen and helps meet critical needs to strengthen the community in which you do business.

To get involved, you simply need to recruit an employee coordinator and a team of volunteers. We're happy to coordinate the project logistics for you so that your employee team has a meaningful and quality experience. Please contact Rick Skinner or call the Volunteer Center at 1-800-VOLUNTEER, or submit a project request online.

Million Dollar Companies

The United Way funds nearly 200 health and human service agencies located throughout a 16-county area in Missouri and Illinois. More than one million people in our bi-state community receive services that strengthen families, help the elderly, keep children healthy and safe, and build stronger neighborhoods.
